Volunteering With Marycare has increased my quest to give back to society - Dr. Akushie Blessing

Dr. Akushie Blessing is an optometrist who has a passion for giving back to society. She has been a volunteer with Marycare, an organization dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of people in underserved communities. Dr. Blessing's love for humanity and her profession inspired her to volunteer with Marycare, and she has seen firsthand the positive impact the organization has on people's lives. In this interview, Dr. Blessing shares her experiences as a volunteer with Marycare and offers advice to those interested in volunteering with the organization or similar groups.


Q: Can you tell us a little about yourself and your profession?

A: My name is Dr. Akushie Blessing, and I'm an optometrist.


Q: What inspired you to volunteer for Marycare, and how did you first get involved with the organization?

A: My love for humanity and my profession inspired me to volunteer with Marycare. I first got involved with the organization through a healthcare outreach organized by a colleague.


Q: What have been some of the most rewarding experiences or moments during your time as a volunteer with Marycare?

A: Seeing the positive impact that Marycare has on people's lives has been the most rewarding experience. I have seen firsthand how the organization has helped people who have little or no access to proper healthcare, and it has been gratifying to see the smiles on their faces.


Q: How has volunteering with Marycare affected you personally, and what have you learned from your experiences?

A: Volunteering with Marycare and other foundations has had a significant impact on me personally. I have learned to prioritize health and have come to realize the great percentage of the masses living in poverty. Through my experiences volunteering, I have also increased my quest to give back to society.


Q: What advice would you give to someone who is interested in volunteering with Marycare or a similar organization, but may not know where to start?

A: My advice would be to always find a better way to do positive things. Start by knowing who you are and what you want, and reach out for help from people who have been there before you. Volunteering is a fulfilling experience that not only benefits others but also has a positive impact on your personal growth and development.
